Laws of the game
will apply as modified by USYSA and EPYSA as described herein.
1. Duration of games by age, halves
and ball size
U8 to U12 2 x 25 mins. 4
U13 &

The clock
will be a running clock.

shall be 1 minute.
2. Dimensions of field
FIELD
NO. FIELD SIZE
Field 1 70’ x 150’
Fields 2
and 3 80’ x 175’
3. Number of players
All age groups will play with
5 field players plus a goalkeeper (6 vs. 6). The maximum number of players per roster is 18.
4. Team Forms
Any team competing with players not
on their Team Form causes their team to forfeit, which will be recorded as a
0-5 loss against the team. If a team
does not have enough players to compete, the team must forfeit before the start
of the game and will be permitted to play recreationally. At this point, any player that the team picks
up must sign a waiver form supplied by LANCO Fieldhouse management before the
start of the game. Teams have up to the start of their 3rd game
before the roster freezes.
5. Equipment
All team members must wear the same
colored shirt with a number on the back. Their number must match the number
on the team roster form. Players may not switch shirts and wear a different
number than that on your team roster form. Violators will receive a one match
ban and also sit the remainder of that game.
All players must wear size and
age-appropriate shin guards. LANCO
Fieldhouse will provide all game balls.
All players must wear molded rubber soled cleats or indoor shoes. Players with casts or braces will be
permitted to play based on the referee’s discretion.
Jewelry may not be worn during
warm-ups or games. If jewelry cannot be
removed, the referee of the game
or LANCO Fieldhouse Management must
be notified and a decision will be made to provide safety to the player. Players will not be permitted to play until
management is satisfied that the result will not cause harm.
6. Start of Game
Kickoff can be played forward
or back, however, you cannot score directly off of the kickoff.
7. THERE WILL BE NO OFFSIDES.
8. Substitutions
Substitutions will be allowed on the
“fly“, as long as the player who is running off the field is 5 yards within
their own bench area. The player running on will pass that player about 5 yards
from the bench area.
9. Throw-ins
The team that did not kick the ball
out of play over the sideline throws the ball in at the same point that the
ball went out. The referee will
determine where the ball went out. A
player cannot score a goal directly from a throw-in – violation of the rule
will result in a goal kick.
10. Goal Kicks
When the attacking team kicks the
ball out of play over the end line, the defending team will get a goal
kick. The goal kick is taken in the
penalty area, no more than 5 yards away from the goal posts. No player may
touch the ball on a goal kick until the ball clears the penalty area.
11. Corner Kicks
When the defending team kicks the
ball out of play over the end line, the attacking team will get a corner
kick. The corner kicks should be taken
at the point where the end line and sideline meet. A goal can be scored directly from a corner
kick. Defenders must stand 7 yards away
from ball on corner kicks.
12. Direct Free Kicks
Defenders must be 7 yards away from
the ball on ALL free kicks.
The following violations justify a
direct free kick:
13. Indirect Free Kicks
The following violations justify an
indirect free kick:
·
Obstruction - a player without the ball and without intention of playing
the ball, blocks or leans into an opponent
·
Goalkeeper Back Pass Violation - a teammate intentionally KICKS the
ball back to the goalie and he/she uses his/her hands – this rule does not
apply for U8s. Heading the ball back to
the goalie is allowed.
·
Hitting
the ceiling –An indirect kick is awarded against the team that hit the
ceiling. The ball is spotted where the
player kicked the ball (not where the ball hits). A yellow card will be given should the
referee determine that a player repeatedly hits the ceiling intentionally.
·
Too
many players on the field – Spot of ball will be at referee’s discretion.
14. Penalty Kick
A penalty kick will be awarded when
the defending team commits a direct free kick violation inside their penalty
area. The goalkeeper must stay on the
goal line until the ball is kicked. The
kicker cannot play the ball again until another player touches the ball. All
Penalty kicks will be taken from the penalty spot.
15. Goalkeepers are allowed unlimited steps; however
the ball must be played within 6 seconds.
Goalkeepers may NOT play the ball
with their hands if the ball is intentionally kicked back to them by one of
their own players. Heading the ball back
to the goalie is allowed. Goalkeepers
are NOT allowed to punt or drop kick the ball.
16. Players
Players are permitted to play on
more than one team in the same age group as long as the teams are in different
divisions. No more than 5 players may participate in a Premier Division
and then go play for the same division 1 team in the same age group. If a team
enrolls two teams in the same division, a player cannot switch back and forth
on both teams. Players are permitted to
play in more than one league.
Players are permitted to play up an
age group but cannot play up two age groups.
Players must be at least 18 years of age to play in the Open Divisions. (Unless
Management over-rules.)
LANCO Fieldhouse reserves the right
to ask for proof of age from any player.
The team will be required to submit proof by means of birth certificate,
passport, driver’s license, or state player’s pass to LANCO Fieldhouse
management within one week of request.
Failure to do so will result in a forfeit and recorded as a 0-5 loss
against the team.
17. Coaching
Coaches must stay in “coach’s area“. Coaching from the sideline is permitted
provided instruction is given and not derogatory. No coach, player, or spectator may make
derogatory comments or gestures to referees, other coaches, other players, or
spectators. No coach, player, or
spectator will use profanity or behave destructively. Coaches have total responsibility for the
conduct of their players, friends, and spectators at all times. At the discretion of the official or
Fieldhouse Management, spectators, coaches and/or players will be ejected from
the facility for any disruptive behavior.
18. Cautions
A yellow card will be given as a
warning. The player must be substituted
immediately and the team will serve a 2 minute power play with a man down. If yellow carded team allows a goal within
the 2 minute power play, they may bring another player on the field and play at
full strength (Yellow Carded Player MUST sit full 2
minutes). A field player may sit out for
a goalkeeper if the goalkeeper is yellow carded; otherwise the player that is
carded must sit. Any player or
coach given their 3rd yellow card in one session will sit out the NEXT
scheduled game.
19. Ejection
A red card is given for a second
yellow card, a serious foul, or a dangerous act performed in any one game. A red-carded player or coach must leave the
playing area immediately. The team will
play one man down for five minutes (5 mins).
After five minutes has expired the team may bring a player on to
replace the ejected player. Any red-carded player or coach must sit out and
will not be permitted in the playing area for the NEXT scheduled game. Any player or coach who receives a second red
card in the league will then sit out and will not be permitted in the playing
area for the NEXT TWO scheduled games.
Any player or coach who receives three red cards in one session will be
expelled from the facility. However,
depending on the severity of the ejection, at the discretion of the referee,
any unruly player or coach may be ejected from the playing area and sanctioned to
more extreme penalties. At the discretion of the official or Fieldhouse
Management, spectators, coaches and/or players can be ejected from the facility
for any disruptive behavior. Anyone who
commits assault on any other person on facility property will be expelled from
the league.
20. NO PROTESTS WILL BE ALLOWED. Disputes will be settled by the League Director or designee
and their decision is final.
